Gill + Lewis DTLA Rooftop Engagement Photoshoot

This is another late-post engagement session from 2018 but it’s a shoot I really wanted to share with you all. This was another partnership with PuL Flower LA, to create some flower clouds and gorgeous bouquets. Flower arrangements really bring out so much color and beauty into a shoot, and I was eager to capture all of this. For this shoot I also had help from our friend Lynn, who let us into her gorgeous rooftop nestled in Downtown Los Angeles. Rooftop + Los Angeles + engagement session during sunset? It was perfection waiting to happen! DTLA engagement sessions are always so fun, and exciting. There’s so much more to be discovered no matter how many times I come visit.

About half a year ago, I was reached out by Lewis to photograph his proposal. He absolutely went above and beyond for the gorgeous proposal, everything was just so perfect! (For that proposal session, click THIS LINK to see the blog post.) These two were absolutely so adorable, and were so kind to come be my subjects for this DTLA engagement session. (there was actually another couple, to be blog post another day 😉 )

I had come to this DTLA rooftop once before, and it was always on my mind since! Once I learned our friend was moving out, I knew I needed to schedule this shoot ASAP. Upon arrival, PuL Flower LA got to work putting up the flower clouds and setting up the bouquets for us. This DTLA rooftop layout is so unique, with a gorgeous view and fun and interesting furniture that made for great props!
