Being a Los Angeles native, servicing as Santa Clarita photographer was always on my radar. Mostly because I grew up there, and I always love coming back. Every time I come back there’s always new buildings and businesses. I just love seeing my old home town growing. So if you are seeking a photographer for your Santa Clarita wedding – keep me in mind, please 🙂
Mini-fact: I was actually born in Kyoto, Japan but I moved here to Santa Clarita Valley when I was about 9 years old. I lived in Saugus area up until I went to university back in 2008. Although I lived SO close to Castaic Lake all those years, I never thought about shooting there until Kellie and Erik hit me up last winter for their holiday photos. Back then the area was more pale and brown (like how Santa Clarita usually is, haha) but this time, we were met with lush greenery! All the rain had turned the entire mountain so green, it was so fascinating to see the difference. The lake backdrop is actually similar to this Super Bloom engagement location, but this lake is filled with gorgeous trees!
The future bride, Kellie and I had gone to same middle and high school, and even played AYSO soccer together back in the days. She is such a fun person to talk to even after all these years. I absolutely know she will be a beautiful, fun bride on the day of. This couple is so beautiful inside and out, and I enjoyed photographing them. I sincerely can’t wait for their Santa Clarita wedding come November.
To other Santa Clarita Photographers – seriously, Castaic Lake is worth that extra few miles out!
